Sleep is our brain's way to rest. It's designed to refresh our bodies and rejuvenate the lost energy. That is why it's important to get the right amount of sleep to progress competently for the rest of the day.

Sleep is a vital part of any person’s health. It’s important for the person’s well-being and the lack of sleep with short bed time can potentially cause problems. Among the many perks, sleep allows the person’s body to repair itself naturally while minimizing the chances of gaining weight, heart attacks, or any illness.
How Much Sleep Do Kids Need?
Children's naps are usually longer than adults and their bed time gradually decrease as they age. The reason behind so much sleep is because their brains aren't developed enough to cope with the development phase.
In other words, their brains become tired due to excessive activity, which is why they need to have deep sleep so much. This can be related to the cases where adults have to work long hours usually take naps longer than usual because of excessive stress.
On average, children from the age of 1-3 need to sleep at least 12 hours of the day. Children from the age of 3-6 need to sleep 10 -12 hours. Children from the age of 7-12 need 10 or less than 10 hours of sleep. At this age, children are engaged in several activities such as school, family gatherings, etc.
Due to this, their body still gets tired and needs a good bedtime to support themselves for the next day's activities.

Entering the teen years, a child needs to maintain a good sleep routine. This is important because teenagers are engaged in several more activities than children and need their energy to cope with the growing number of activities.
Usually, teenagers are needed to have at least 8-10 hours of sleep. Unfortunately, most teens today aren't getting the right amount of sleep (lack of sleep). This is due to multiple reasons. One of the reasons is the change in the circadian rhythm or biological clock of the body ( may because of the change of sleep environment). Here are some sleep tips for you to improve your quality of sleep.
This clock releases melatonin, a hormone in the brain that is responsible for waking it up. When the circadian rhythm gets changed, it releases the hormone, making it difficult for the teens to either sleep early or sleep when they wake up in the middle of the night.
The change in the circadian rhythm occurs due to the changes in the routines of the person. Several factors, including school stress, intense routines, lack of exercise, etc. can trigger the change in the rhythm, causing the teens to stay awake.
In addition, the excessive use of cell phones and the internet have led to a disturbance in the sleeping routines of many teens. Even when sleeping at midnight, an average teen would only have 6-7 hours of sleep since they have to get up the next day, which isn't enough.
Therefore, teens need to schedule their routines so that they can get at least 8 hours of sleep. Arranging routines will help sort out any messes and will give a clear deadline for all functions of the day, making way for the right amount of sleep.
